This role involves taking over an existing pipeline and helping to drive growth, primarily by signing new schools to subscription plans. The successful candidate must have a sales mindset, driving growth while maintaining a consultative approach that positions AMOpportunities as a strategic partner for schools. This role is eligible for a competitive commission plan based on sales-generated revenue. This role may include occasional domestic travel throughout the year.

The Institutional Partnerships Manager will build and maintain partnerships with both new and existing medical, physician assistant, nursing, and other healthcare schools in need of quality U.S. clerkship and practicum placements for their students. The goal of this position is to drive new revenue opportunities for AMOpportunities by utilizing account-based B2B sales tactics while understanding the strategic needs of partner schools. The candidate will ensure schools see how AMOpportunities can assist by utilizing current programs and by recruiting new programs that best serve the schools and their students. A strong understanding of how healthcare clinical education programs function, combined with experience in sales in the higher education space, is critical for success in this role.

While this position can be fully remote, we are looking for candidates to be residents of Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, New York, Florida, or Alabama only.

  • Consultative Sales Approach: Qualify requests and proposals made by schools, understanding their unique challenges and converting them into actionable orders.

  • Strategic Partnering: Collaborate with schools to showcase AMOpportunities as a strategic partner that supports the development and stability of their clinical rotation networks.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams at various stages of the sales cycle (e.g., contracting, fulfillment, and customer success) to ensure seamless execution.

  • Market Insights: Build market knowledge to proactively identify school pain points and offer solutions through AMOpportunities' clinical network and platform.

  • Data-driven Sales: Maintain accurate records in our CRM (HubSpot) to track the funnel from lead through contracting to fulfillment. Use data insights to inform sales strategies.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Develop your skills to independently deliver the AMOpportunities pitch and represent the company in meetings with school executives.

  • Support Growth Strategies: Work closely with the Network Development team to identify new opportunities and scale efforts in key accounts.

  • Consultative Sales Mindset: Ability to approach leads, projects, and problems with a goal-focused, consultative perspective, helping schools see AMOpportunities as a strategic partner.

  • Sales to Executive Stakeholders: Experience influencing or selling to high-level executives is a plus.

  • Data-Driven Sales Process: Comfort using data to inform the sales process and make decisions.

  • Proficiency with Technology: Experience with CRM software (e.g., HubSpot/Salesforce) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau). Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Adobe applications.

  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication, writing, time-management, and organizational skills with a focus on prioritizing multiple tasks effectively.

  • Team Collaboration: Strong team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
