About the position:

The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) will lead the company's nursing sales efforts, driving revenue through partnerships with nursing schools and clinical sites. This role focuses on cultivating strong relationships with educational institutions and clinical training affiliates to expand our nursing program portfolio. The CNO will be responsible for setting up clinical practicums for nursing programs through strategic relationships, ensuring seamless placement of students in high academic quality training environments. The CNO will collaborate with executive and business development teams to generate revenue while supporting other clinical recruitment initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is eager to contribute to an innovative and proactive team.    

This position can be fully remote.

Essential Functions:

  • Build and Lead Nursing Sales: 
    Drive the development of AMO’s nursing line of business by connecting nursing schools with clinical sites for practicum capacity expansion. 

  • Sales-driven Operations: 
    Engage high-level decision-makers and coordinators at nursing schools, professional organizations, clinicians, and clinical sites. Conduct outreach via email, phone, and video conferencing to demonstrate the benefits of partnering with AMO for preceptor and student placement. Utilize professional networks, cold emails, and calls as needed. 

  • Sales Pipeline Management: 
    Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing, with a focus on building and maintaining a healthy pipeline. Demonstrate competence in lead generation, follow-up, and nurturing relationships through the sales funnel. 

  • Strategic Partnerships: 
    Develop partnerships with nursing schools and clinical sites to expand AMO’s footprint. Lead negotiations to secure contracts that benefit AMO’s growth in the nursing education sector. 

  • Program Implementation and Onboarding: 
    Collaborate with internal teams to establish best practices for onboarding and expanding nursing programs. 

  • Professional Communication: 
    Effectively communicate with nursing deans, educators, hospital leadership, and clinical site education leaders to build credibility and trust. 

  • Recruitment Best Practices: 
    Adapt recruitment strategies to ensure seamless program implementation. Prepare detailed program information for the operations team to execute. 

  • Email Communication and Writing: 
    Craft strategic, engaging emails for prospective and current preceptors, ensuring consistent communication aligned with AMO’s goals. 

  • Adapt AMO Processes for Nursing: 
    Leverage in-depth knowledge of US nursing education to tailor AMO’s processes for the nursing sector. 

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: 
    Serve as a resource for AMO teams, providing insights on nursing education programs and availability. 

  • Sales Planning: 
    Develop a comprehensive sales plan targeting nursing schools and clinical sites, with a focus on both short-term and long-term revenue growth. 

  • Contract Negotiations: 
    Lead negotiations to secure beneficial agreements with clinical sites and educational institutions.

    Able to think creatively to develop compelling sales proposals and solutions for nursing schools and clinical sites. 

Education and Experience:

  • 5-10+ Years of Leadership Experience in nursing education or clinical settings. 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field; MSN in Nursing Education preferred. 

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in the healthcare or education sectors. 

  • Experience with clinician recruitment and managing multiple sales tasks. 

  • Familiarity with CRM tools and sales pipeline management. 

  • In-depth knowledge of the nursing education market. 

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
