About the position:

The Marketing Content Specialist is responsible for creating and curating content for social media, blogs, newsletters, emails, and other brand collateral. This position also leads initiatives that grow our social audiences, increase engagement on the brand website and blog, while overseeing virtual marketing events, giveaways, and contests. This person helps create and maintain AMO collateral, ensuring that collateral content is up to date. Collateral includes but is not limited to proposals for partnership and hospitals, brand guidelines, and AMO marketing assets. 

While this position can be fully remote, we are looking for candidates to be residents of Illinois only. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Lead social media organic strategy and content development, including post content, giveaways, Lives, virtual panels, and other events with the goal of raising brand awareness, increasing audience engagement, and growing the number of AMO followers

  • Oversee blog strategies and content, which includes both the creation and curation of post content

  • Oversee content strategies that are implemented appropriately across varying channels (i.e., social, email, blog, etc.) 

  • Create new campaigns and initiatives to increase users and applicants

  • Collaborate across AMO departments and partner organizations to create content that is educational and inspirational

  • Write and curate email, newsletter, and workflow content that is creative and engaging

  • Coordinate with key stakeholders when launching new campaigns, giveaways, or events, ensuring all parties are informed and have all necessary details

  • Provide new ideas for content based on visitor engagement and inquiries 

  • Respond to tickets in a timely manner, ensuring projects move along and stakeholders are updated

  • Continue to develop market personas and the AMO brand voice, learning about our audiences and developing content that meets unique audience inquiries and demands

  • Other tasks as assigned

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or equivalent   

  • Three (3) or more years of experience with content marketing and integrated marketing solutions  

  • Three (3) or more years of experience executing content on social media platforms including, but not limited to, Meta, LinkedIn, and YouTube  

  • Familiarity with CRMs such as HubSpot and project management software such as Trello  

  • Familiarity with design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or Canva 

  • Experience with all aspects of content development 

  • Experience managing multiple tasks and projects 

Bonus:

  • Experience with TikTok strategy and content 

  • Experience with HTML, Website CMS, and SEO keywords 

  • Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop or Canva 

  • Industry experience in healthcare or higher education is strongly preferred
