Summary:
At AMO, client relationships and growth are at the heart of what we do. We are seeking a motivated and personable Account Executive to expand our footprint through new business development and deepening our impact through strategic account management.
This position is responsible for generating new B2B partnerships while managing and growing a portfolio of existing healthcare school clients. The ideal candidate has strong relationship-building skills, a strategic sales mindset, and experience navigating complex partner needs in the US healthcare education landscape.
The Account Executive will report directly to the VP of Sales and work cross-functionally with internal teams to drive pipeline growth, fulfill orders, and ensure excellent partner experiences. In addition to a base salary, this position includes a competitive commission plan tied to fulfilled revenue and account expansion.
While this position can be fully remote, we are looking for candidates to be residents of Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, New York, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Florida, or Alabama only.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Growth & Retention
Manage and grow a portfolio of healthcare school accounts across medical, PA, and other allied health programs.
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to build trust and long-term engagement.
Identify upsell opportunities and expand existing partnerships through additional orders, programs, or services.
Monitor account performance, forecast demand, and proactively address risks or gaps in client satisfaction.
New Business Development
Identify, research, and target new institutional partners in need of clinical training solutions.
Collaborate with the Institutional Partnerships Manager to build strategic outreach campaigns.
Create tailored proposals and presentations to pitch AMO's value proposition to new partners.
Attend discovery calls, proposal discussions, and executive meetings with prospects.
Sales Strategy & Execution
Lead the end-to-end sales cycle from qualification to proposal to order submission.
Maintain accurate data in HubSpot CRM and actively manage the B2B request, order, and fulfillment pipelines.
Collaborate with Clinical Recruitment and Operations teams to ensure timely program matching and fulfillment.
Track market trends and competitor offerings to position AMO strategically.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with the Clinical Partnerships team to open new clinical sites in response to B2B demand.
Participate in internal meetings to share account updates, progress toward KPIs, and client feedback.
Contribute to marketing, product, and operations feedback loops to improve AMO’s offerings.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development (preferably in higher education or healthcare)
Proven ability to hit sales and revenue goals while delivering exceptional partner experiences
Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
Knowledge of medical education systems and clinical training challenges is a strong plus
Proficiency in CRM software (HubSpot preferred) and Microsoft Office suite
Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or a related field
Bonus:
Experience selling to medical schools, colleges or universities
Former positions in medical education such as clinical director or clinical coordinator
Cross departmental collaboration experience, ex: working with technology, marketing, and operations departments to reach goals
